So i bought one of these on a really good sale for a few bucks

I already had several tape measures, but none had metric graduations as well as SAE, so "who not" i said.
Anyways, I dont know where i put my 33" tape so i've been using this one all weekend. I hate to say it, but I am very impressed. Good standout, easy to read, hook clips on and stays. Very good measuring tape

Have to agree there as I use my FatMax quite often. They are a little pricey, but worth it.
How much is the Lufkin?

I want one that has metric on one side and inch on the other too. BUT! I want the inch side to show me fractions (down to 1/16ths) for every inch, not just notches between inch marks!
My brain likes fast answers, if I glance at the tape and see 11" 7/16" It's a nano second faster than counting notches.
BTW, I got one of those "powered" tape measures that feed out by themselves. Pure junk! Slow, goes thru batteries in hours, too big, too heavy, etc...

Oh, man, you want it marked down to 1/16ths?? How they gonna fit all those numbers on there?
You got to use the tape more then you won't need all those numbers. I tried one of those marked tapes once (in fact I still have it for the wife :) ), but it was harder for me to read it than without the numbers. The numbers were too close together and my brain was not used to seeing all those numbers on the tape. I can read an unmarked tape much quicker. Weird but true.

Lufkin is the CADILLAC of tape measures, always has been. I guard the one I have closely. Stanleys are nice too though.

I think I paid around $7 for it. Usually they go for ~20
