So...what is everyone using to protect their driveways? Mine is only a couple years old and the weather here in WI is taking it's toll already. I was thinking maybe just of using the Thomson's concrete sealer?
Along the same lines, I have a couple cracks/chips at the end of the flat concrete of the garage floor where the garage floor meets the driveway. The damaged concrete is broken off and I have already tried a bag of concrete repair. With the snow and freeze/thaw/refreeze they have already broken off. Any suggestions? If the concrete is only 2 years old, would I have a case against the cement contractor?
Thanks!!!

I believe you are going to need a concrete patch that has a latex additive. The latex additive makes the concrete bond super strong. You may need to get a non-shrink grout for the patch. A thin patch like that is hard to bond, and keep it bonded. Towards the sealer, I know of some places you can get commerical grade sealer in WI. Depends where you live. PM me an let me know what city you are from.

:rocker: I don't think you have a case against the contractor. You have to realize that there are 2 types of concrete; One that is cracked and One that is going to crack. Especially in Wisconsin with your freeze and thaw cycles, keeping concrete without cracking is nearly impossible. Even in sunny California we have cracked concrete in addition to our cracked politicians.
