Ryan,
Is it possible to increase the size limit of attachments to a larger (and more logical) size like 100 kb (or more) instead of 78.1? Bigger pics = easier to see and pick out details for our own projects. Thanks.

If you use Microsoft XP Power Toys - Image Resizer, most 800x600 images will be under 78.1 kb. Even this size skews the forum layout though.

This adds a "resize images" option to your right click menu. You can do 1 or 1000 at a time too.

Thanks for the link. It's by far the easiest and quickest way to resize pics.

What am I doing wrong. I have resized the picture but I still get a message that the file is too large even when trying one picture at a time ?

What size are you choosing? (pixel size w x h?)

Are you saving it as BMP, GIF or JPG? If you're using BMP, you should try the other two.
The problem might not lay in the image dimensions as much as the space it uses on disk.

I have resized it to 640x480 and then to 240x320 saving it to jpeg. I guess without having a carb or fuel injection I'm lost here.

The easiest way to drop a jpeg down in file size is just to open it in MS Paint (crappy little program that comes with Windows), and then save it.
That typically cuts a picture's file size in half for me.

Thanks Cebby,
Would never have guessed that, Mr Gates would give us add-ons for free.
