Deal On Tool Chest

Yesterday I bought a combo tool chest at Home depot

the base, a sit on top chest and 150 tools all for



$100

it normally goes for 250

such a deal

I checked my local Home Depot and the closest thing they had was over $300, without any tools. :sad:

Home Depot is probably switching vendors (read: offshore manufacturing), so it is time to clear out the old stock before the new stuff comes in. This sale is limited to stock on hand.

If anyone else wants one, go to your local HD and have them search via computer for item number 477956 (hopefully that isn't a general clearance number).

I tried item number 92736 on the Home Depot site and it came back "Item Not Found" so I tried 477956 from the receipt and all I got was your account history and credit report. :eek:

Seriously, that's a great deal on that box and tools.

I spoke with the tool guy at my local Home Depot. He said that those were christmas specials and that it was probabaly leftover and that is why it was on sale for $100. He said they were about $150 or so during xmas.

I'm not seeing anything like that on the homedepot website... I'll have to check out my local store tomorrow.

I asked about it at my local Home Depot today- the sales guy knew what I was talking about, but it was out of stock, he said it was clearance stuff and would not be restocked. :(
