i'd need a page or two. Exotics aren't really my bag- it's mostly the eccentric old luxury cars that do it for me. $50k buys a lot more in that arena.

1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham (couldn't get a 100-point car for that, but it'd be nice enough)
1959 Lincoln Mark III convertible
1960 Imperial Crown convertible, with a massaged 500-cube stroker
1968 Cadillac S&S Victoria 3-way hearse
1959 Austin Healey Sprite body on a tube-chassis road racer (gotta have something i can park in a normal-sized spot)

Honorable mentions: 1969 Thunderbird 4-door, 1965 Buick Riviera, 1961 Chrysler New Yorker (300Gs can break the $50k limit now. Sheesh)., 1967 Eldorado Biarritz, 1974 Volkswagen Thing... all with enough left over for some serious mods :rocker:

I'm with Concrete and LowYota on this one, as I'm pretty much a minitrucker myself. Here goes:

'05 GMC Crew Cab Dually fully loaded (Not a big fan of the '05 HD Chevy clips)
'67 Chevy Truck
'65 Lincoln Continental convertible sedan
'94 Toyota pickup, std cab shortbed, green (Based on the first thing I ever built)
'59 El Camino or Impala

Kevin,

I would've put in for a newer minitruck too, but I figure they'll be around for a while, so I went with the older rides.

Besides, I already have a Ranger and a 88 B2200 Mazda. I guess I have a few too many projects already (5 total, but 2 are parts only), let alone having 5 more!

I've always told my wife I'd rather have 10 $2000 vehicles than a single $20,000 one.

1976 Ford Excursion (My Current Project)
1929 Ford Model A Pickup- Modified into a crew cab (My future project)
2002 Chevy 3500 Crew Cab Dually (My current daily driver/hauler....I could drop another $25,000 into customizing and get to the $50,000 threshold)
1968-72 Chevy Nova SS (When I get sick of building trucks I'll pick up one of these)
1984 Hurst/Olds (I'll probably just go take my friend Victor's...he never sees it anyways since he's in D.C. and it's outside of Chicago)

These are more my "what I plan on getting in the next ten years" I once made up a list with someone that included a car from every decade that I would want. Most of these were from that list.

I'll put mine in the mix here. 1966 427 Cobra replica. Original engine that Carroll Shelby for S/C competition. Owner rapped it around a gas pole (it didn't explode) :willy_nil scared the bejesus out of him & sold it back to Carroll. It's a Lone Star kit.

My wish list under 50 grand would be-
63'-67' Corvette (price) ? 67' 427 Vette would be perfect ! :rocker:
Hemi Cuda (clone if under 50)
Other Mopars- GTX, Charger, ect...)
69' Mach 1
69'-72' Camaro

Hahahaha. No. :-) It's my baby. I have quite a few things done to it, and am getting ready to put a 6 speed manual trans in it. Father forgive me.

You can go to www.impalassforum.com, and go to their message forum though. There is a for sale section and always something good for sale. Whether you want a bone stock, low mileage, or a 396 with a 6 speed, or whatever, it is there. Heck, there's one that runs 9's, with full interior, and AC for sale.

WOW awful lot of Chevy's and Ford's on everyones list, all with the big motors too !!! What do you guys do with all the power ?

I have my dream garage for under 50k so I am happy, go up to 100k and I would throw in a 246 GTS and Panoz AIV Roadster...

for under 50k it would be what I own
1934 Singer Le Mans with the big 972cc motor, yeah, that is probably about 60cubic inches
1934 Singer 1 1/2 Litre, go for the full size motor (in its current condition it is still under 50k but wont be much longer)
1953 Singer 4AD, another 1500cc's but go with the power of the dual carb option
1968 FIAT Dino Spider, 2Litre twin-overhead cam V6 with 3 2-barrel webers, ok now we are talking real power.
1973 FIAT 124 Spider, old faithful, daily driver since new.

Can I throw in a bike too ? since you cant live with just cars...2003 Victory Vegas more power than any of my cars.

Well, this is slightly off topic and everyone has their own thing and some of the cars do appreciate well, so that could be another issue but I am not going to work to pay for a bunch of toys, and given more money than I could spend I might buy a snowmobile I guess and maybe a new pickup truck. People ask me why I dont have a new car/truck and a snowmobile,,, well I would have to get a damm job then,,, ha and I am not getting up at 6 am (middle of the night) to enrich a car company, Artic Cat and a bank and the U.S. govt. Dream shop would have to be 10,000 sqft, cement floors, high ceilings, complete with a air conditioned macnine shop and a sheetmetal and a wood shop to suppliment my car thirst. Cars? MGBGT V8, A Volvo P1800, a good solid CB MGB with a GM V6 and fivespeed and a beat up but rust free stock MGB just to take out to have fun with and clear my mind, and my GMC 3/4 ton p/u with and endless supply of gas to pull my trailer with

Mine tend towards the "older" side:

1. '29 Ford roadster pickup hot rod, fenderless with flathead and 5-speed.
2. '48 Ford F1 pickup with overhead V8, automatic, hot rod again.
3. '57 Ford Thunderbird, Ford modular V8, automatic and other mods.
4. '34 Ford roadster, full fendered, flathead V8, hot rod.
5. '27 Ford V4/STR for Bonneville.
6. '29 Ford station wagon, modified.

I know I cheated and listed six, but that's what I want. The only one that's real is the '48 F1 sitting in the garage now and the flathead for the RPU. Now what I want differs from what I need and what I can afford, which are two other questions, that are yet unanswered. I guess I'll have to start playing the lottery more often than when it gets over $200 million.

If it had to be 5 and only 5:

- Corvette Coupe - Monterrey Red Metallic
- 2007 Chevy Avalance 4x4 - Daily driver
- New Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - just because
- Dodge Charger, BMW 5 series, or Land Rover LR3 - Wife to be wants one and it would keep her from driving my cars (I hope).

That leaves me with $50,000. I'd probably buy a couple of ATVs and a trailer. Since I want to live on acreage - got to have a fairly big tractor (and attachments). $50,000 would disappear quickly.

Jeep Unlimited, 2007 Dodge Charger, 2007 Silverado, 2007 TrailBlazer, Suzuki GSXR 1300 Limited (Yeah, not a car, ohwell.)

Oh, and I wouldn't want an Enzo, plus you have to be picked by Ferrari to own one. I wouldn't want a McLaren either. I'd rather have a Porsche GT3, don't ask.

Havent posted in a while. Here's my list.

53 Ford F-100
84 GMC Sierra Full Size (with airride)
82 GMC Sierra S-15 (V-8 swap and custom control arms and weight jacks in front and "truck arm" rear suspension and weight jacks back there to.)
Any year Chevy Suburban. Except any built after 1990 Lowered steel wheels and a engine swap. (anything from a new Vortec V-8 to a Duramax.)
And whatever else i see that I cant live without. I think a lowered semi truck for towing my bonneville race truck would be cool.

I have the first two and working on the second one. I like trucks a lot.

In the garage already are:

05 Lotus Elise
65 Shelby Cobra 427 SC

04 Mercury Maruader (soon to be supercharged)

What do you think should be the 5th to round out the collection? I am thinking a hot rod of sorts...
