I am seriously thinking about buying this compressor from Harbor Fright:shocking: . The specs looks pretty good and it has Baldor motor and ASME tank. I can get 20% off the regular price. What do you think?

Cast iron cylinder, not cast iron pump.

Thank you, I've read that thread that's why I am considering this unit. I can get this for $1,080 and I think that it is a good deal for that price. It will not be used everyday but will be using it for sandblasting as well.

VERY nice. My question is where do you do the messy work that sometimes is needed to be done in a garage.? You "work bench" reminds me more of an office table. Wish I could be 1/2 as neat and orderly....Your shop is an inspiration to all.

I think it's a good deal because of the baldor motor. The motor is key and probably the worst place to cut corners. The pump is probably the weakest link, so to speak. But even if you have to replace a pump some time in the future, youre still ahead because pumps don't cost a grand (not that i've seen around here).

My workbench is currently elbow deep in take-off parts and miscellany from my heads/cam/intake project on the Mustang and the floor needs to be mopped to clean up the oil and coolant residue. Next up, Kenne Bell supercharger install on the Cobra.
