Needless to say we have very quickly outgrown the cheapo server package I started this site with. I've been shopping around trying to find the best package to use for this site and finally found what I want. Within the next week or two the switch should be made. If all goes well it will be in the middle of the night and no one will even know except from the site running faster. I'll keep you guys posted.

Just a suggestion. You ought to look into printing up a window decal or some other small item that advertises this sight and offer it for members to purchase. Something along the lines of: (This GarageJunkies property protected by semi-automatic 12 gauge proceed with extreme caution). If you do it right you might be able to help off set part of your costs. Most people that appreciate a forum don't mind spending a few bucks to help keep it going.

Good to hear Luke, Any chance the new software will be able to remember which msgs we have read and which not and take us right to the newest unread msg in a given thread? Not asking for to much now am I? ;)

I'm sure most of us would be fine donating money too if you want to set up a paypal account. I know I would throw what I can.

One of my main goals with this site was to keep it free. The offers for donations are great guys, but all of you do your own part in making this site what it is. Thank you for the offers though. :bounce:

WHEN it starts expanding and bandwidth starts getting crazy, we will still be here to help.

Looks like this will probably be happening in the next 48 hours or so. The new host/server has been acquired and the site will start being transferred shortly. :bounce:

Looks like a good hosting company.
What should I put in the referral field if I order? :D

I ended up doing a ton of research to find the best hosting company I could because my last one was pretty bad.
A SMALL ORANGE is an awesome hosting company and comes highly recommended by many people. I have never had a better experience with a business, let alone a hosting company. If you do decide to use them be sure to put this site down as the referrer so we will get a free month of hosting.
Check out the forum they have also where you can ask questions before you buy...

I also sent numerous support request emails to them at all times of the night/early morning and it usually took about 15 minutes for them to respond.
