I have a snap on KRL series box, with those wheels with fancy springs on them and everything. The other day I moved it somewhere and noticed that one of the wheels is broken, its popping and moving from side to side, I assume that the bearings are bad. However, I no longer work at a shop where a snap on man comes around, so I do not know what to do about the broken wheel? I was wondering if theres a place that may sell replacements, or am I going to have to go through snap on?

Are you bought new and moving around in shop? if it is new then it should be warranty replacement with your recipt that snap on guy who you did get from.

i know that snap on have lifetime warranty on drawer ball bearings. i am not sure about wheel but if it is new then should be warranty.

Yep, I will be living with a busted wheel:wtf:

No, I actually bought the box off of a friend of my dads...so I doubt if I would still be able to do anything about it. I don't even know how it happened, its not like its overloaded or anything, and it wasn't bad when I bought it either.

The sticker on the side says 2005, so its not too terribly old. I've just got to find a snap on guy, cause I don't have one where I am now.

that should be warranty to have caster replacement from local snap on dealer but i would recommend you to talk with local dealer manager of snap on. some time i found few of my friends who work in dump truck have good supplies of snap on tools but snap on dealer would make hassle more about problem with toolbox. so try to contact to snap on local manager instead dealer unless you know snap on dealer ....

i have problems with mac tool tool bottom box that have bent ball bearing as i really over load on top wide drawer and warranty almost expire by one month and i had mac tool guy to have it replacement but it took almost one month to have it replace so i had wrote mail to local manager and mac tool headquarter as i am deaf. then few day later, mac tool manager show up my work and twrite down me a paper to have it replace ball bearing as no charge and advise me to move all sockets other drawer or on top of cheat where it have lid to open and close. i told him that i have no room to move other drawer. he said maybe it is time to upgrade the toolbox with same price what i paid box to trade in to bigger box. i told him that i dont make much money to do that way. i dont want be in tool truck payment every week as other techs advised me to do not. so i had trade in for snap on krl1001 that snap on accept trade in and sold me in half price plus trade in that which little below of new craftsman professional 56in wide.

after that i still love my krl1001 and will never sell or trade it for other. i love my krl1001 and i paid it once and dont make payment.

Where in TN are you? I think I asked you this before, and you were on the wrong side of the state. I'll call my guy and see what his advice is. More than likely, if you talk to the right guy at Snap-On and get things pre-arranged, you'll be able to ship it on and they'll send you a new one.

What make and model is your box? Does it have the standard casters for that box, or an upgraded size?

(Dangit people! Put a CITY in your location! :p)

Sure you will. You'll have to trade it in when you outgrow it. I've needed to do that for about 6 months. :D

yeah i will outgrow it maybe about 2 or 3 years later. but i wont want be in credit system what snap on, matco, or mac tool do to all people to make payment with too high interest. i am think about to get craftsman professional combo (56in wide) later as it much cheap than other tool truck sell. unless they will sell me much cheap if they want sell it fast.

Its a KRL1022, I believe (I'll have to look to confirm) Standard size as far as I know..

First, from looking at those, I believe that KRL1022 is the one made in Canada. It should say on the label. If so, it was made by International toolboxes, and they have a similar, but harder to find model.
Second, go here: http://corporate.snapon.com/display/termsofsale.nws

Find out how long the warranty is, BEFORE you contact Snap~On, as it's best to have the facts to back you up. Then you can contact them, and find out if you have a local region manager, who either could help you or direct you to the closest truck. (If you make a internet purchase, the local person for you area, is still suppose to get some credit).
They will want to know what the serial number is, and I would recommend you make sure you have your reciept! If the person that sold you this box defaulted on his payments, then they will try to get the box from you.
Like I said, if it's made in Canada, you might see about getting a replacement wheel directly from International.

I've needed to trade up for the last 5 years or so,but the money for new is OUTRAGOUS!
Latest Snap on dealer comes into work,w/his trainers, tells me it looks like I need a new box,I agree with them.
Long story short.for @ 9 or 10 grand I can put everything in a new shiney box and ditch the 20 year old Snappy box,the file cabinets, and the milk crates.
I told them the BOX don't make me money,I was thinking along the lines of a USED rollaway to put next to the file cabinets and ditch the milk crates...
Big sad puppydog eyes on the 3 of them.....
Now we're on every other week service...
