View Full Version : New guy, new garage
Hi, I have to say I'm envious of most of you but I finially have a place to work that doesn't stink up the house and I can walk out and lock the door without having to clean up my mess! Not quite finished yet but will be soon.

Looks good. I like closing the door & leaving it all for another day myself. I don't miss cleaning up the tools in the driveway at night either

Nice new shop! That 6 car (?) attached doesn't look too bad either.

Yo PLW - I see that you have vinyl fencing (nice choice) with mesh inside for the little varmints. How did you attach your mesh to the vinyl? Is it "goat worthy"?
My vinyl guy wouldn't attach to the vinyl. Ended up running t-posts and mesh nside the vinyl :wtf: Sure would love to dump the t-posts, they look like sh!t against the vinyl......

Damn, I definitely live in the wrong area...I bet you couldn't even hit your nearest jerk neighbor's Christmas lights with a BB gun, huh? :lol2:
Great house, yard, garage, view, just great! Now if you tell me you never get snow, I'll really be jealous. :wtf: :D
Hi Guys, thanks for the nice words. The house has a three car garage that we added an upstairs work room to (my wife does stained glass) but every time I tried to do something in the garage like bondo or paint the fumes went right up stairs-bad for the wife-worse for me so I put all my projects on hold for awhile (enclosed is one of them). The fence is pretty much critter proof, wire is attached with white tie wraps (have to keep replacing them about once a year cause they get brittle) and yes we do get snow, Greenacres is about 15 miles from downtown Spokane.

Looks good. Nice plot of land you have there. How many acres do you have?
We need some interior pics of your garage.
Thanks again, I'm on 10 acres and sorry I don't have any inside pics yet. Here's another outside shot though!
That's a great looking area...snow or not, I'd love to live there.
Do you farm those fields or just mow them? Did you build your house there, or buy it already done?
Ok, ok...I'll quit with the questions. :bounce:
Hi CF, that picture was taken right after I bought it 4 years ago, have since fenced the front to the creek and all of the back and put 4 or 5 cows on in the spring and summer for slaughter. I take a half a beef and sell the rest. Works out pretty well so far and the meat is way better than store bought. The house was built in '96, the tree is somewhere around 110 years old.

Here's a couple of inside shots, still a work in progress.

Wow! What a nice garage, home and location. Any jobs for a power plant operator in that area? I live in Las Vegas and would love to relocate. Want to to trade?
Geez, I've got so much crap that I could easily have that garage 3/4 full in one day.
Looks great though, lots of elbow room there!
I couldn't tell you about power plant jobs but they were looking for linemen a while back. You might try contacting Avista. As far as trading, now that I have my shop it'll be pretty hard to pry me away, I kinda like it where I'm at!

are you on the HAMB?
I've been thinking about joining, I was kind of afraid I had a little too much "billit" on my '23 to qualify! Those guys can be pretty ruthless!!!

I really like that attached garage too. What are the dimensions on it? What is the roof pitch? I would like to build one just like it. Do you have any pics of it looking straight on?

I'm curious on the dimensions, also.
Sorry guys, just got back to the computer after a few weeks off, I can get the dimentions and a few pics in about a week when I get home from Alaska. Look for them at this thread.
