Craftsman is made by Liftmaster, Sears just puts their name on it. Liftmaster is not sold to the public only at door dist. centers or sometimes from your local door company.

Only difference between the LM and Sears is the rail is in pieces from Sears for easier packaging. What size and type of door are you installig it on?

The Craftsman would be more than enough for that door.

you should post a link to the specific product. i have a craftsman 3/4hp belt drive opener for my double garage door. it is a GREAT product. very quiet. it does open a bit slow, but the quietness makes up for it. it came with two remotes, and a wireless keypad. it cost around $200 if i remember correctly. it might be the one you're talking about, but i'm too lazy to look.

Fordman. If you're putting an opener on an Alum. door you might have to beef up the top panel with a 2x4 to keep it from kinking. There should be a warning tag somewhere on the door about this, at least there was on mine.
