I ordered one of these from the manufacturer some months ago, and I liked it so much, I bought one for my dad. This is a very well thought out and nicely executed tool. I had always resorted to using Vice Grips and a hammer or prybar for removing those slender 18 gauge and 16 gauge pneumatic brads. I have been pulling a lot of these lately, so it is a pleasure to just reach for the Extractor, and gently pull them out with one hand and without marring the wood. This pair of pliers has hardened teeth, and a parrallel jaw arrangement, along with a nice rolling wedge that all work together just beautifully.
On the down side, these are made in Taiwan. Now, I have never been too impressed with Taiwanese hand tools before, but it is obvious that the company was very selective as to which Taiwanese manufacturer they chose to produce their tool, and apparently are keeping a close watch on the quality control.
They are certainly not cheap at $25 each, but I still conider them to be a good value and would recommend them to anyone who has to pull finish type nails or brads.
