question of your wish?

i know some technician wish that have all tools in same brand instead many different brand names of tools...

i just like to have all tools in same name of snap on but if have snap on hand tools, impact sockets, air tools, and toolboxes then i am out of money for rest of life because it will cost thousands and thousands.....:bowdown:

so i have about 6 different of brand names of tools while i got from ebay and pawn store.... buy from my snap on guy while he giving me discount price...:bounce: :thumbup:

what is your idea or opinions?? :beer:

I ticked the Snap On one cause thats the name more common to the professional techs.

I don't have alot of Snap On tools maybe 230 pieces in total. But my tool boxes are full of Beta, Gray, Stanley, Mac, Matco and the Asian Invasion tools

i had many snap on tools but it is from ebay. same with mac tools while i got it from ebay and my mac tool dealer gave me good deal for mac tool impact sockets (10 to 25mm deep socket) i used it a lot on my cordless impact wrench (goodyear).

but i own almost 70 percents of craftsman tools while i buy more craftsman tools than buy two or three tools from snap on tools....

i know that mac tools are made in usa of sockets and wrenches same with hand tools . but i was noticed that it starting to be made in oversea like mac tool's new EDGE sockets that made by oversea. i dont like buy tools from oversea...

I voted Craftsman but have different brands. Im just a weekend tinkerer but I want a decent tool with a lifetime warranty. I like Channellock brand for pliers. I recently bought a Kobalt 1/4 inch drive socket set. First Kobalt Ive ever owned and I'm pretty impressed. All my sockets in my roll around are Craftsman but I wanted a set to keep together for my tool bag I keep in my truck. If I made my living with them, I'd go Snap On or Mac.

I don't buy so much for the name, as the warranty, and the quality hoping I DON'T need the warranty.

Craftsman mainly (mostly home messing anymore), as no local Snap man. Mac is my secondary (great Mac man).

Used, look for quality and lack of abuse marks!
Indestro, Powerkraft, Challenger, J.H.Williams, SK, Lisle, etc.

I have more brand names and maybe tools, then the shop.

Most of the stuff in my box, and box included is snap on. I do have a lot of cratsman, but mainly spares of everything at this point (cause I already replaced it with snap on!) I have a few matco pieces, some mac pieces, a fairly decent amount of SK stuff..but most of that is used. I bought a lot of snap on when doing a technical program, so its mainly what I have now.

I enjoy having a variety of tool brands. All the brands you listed are good tools. I don't have any Matco or Cornwell because I have never had an opertunity to buy them. I have all the other brands listed plus several more. Some of the old brands like New Britian, Williams Superrenches, Bonney, Diamond, Par-X and some of the good industrial tools that are still around like Armstrong and Proto. I have and like a few overseas brands like Elora, Heyco and Wiha. I have very few Asian made tools. Among the brands are the old Craftsman Japanese raised pannel wrenches from the 80's and some Sears brand also made in Japan. I have some Craftsman Pro mini pliers, made in China and some Toptul made in Tiawaan {got burned by Toptul USA. did I tell ya?} Then I've got the usual Irwin Vise Grips, Cressant Wrenches, Channel Locks and other's. Oh yeah, Stanley USA industrial matt finish wrenches. That's all the brands I can think of that I use regularly right now.

It seems to me that as long as you buy good quality the name brand doesn't mean much. If you buy Craftsman you are probably buying the best tool for the money and you are getting some of many name brands that all say Craftsman on them.

i am agree with you. craftsman tools are best for money....

but i was remember that one tech told me that snap on tools are best and will last longer but know what??? he had to borrow my tools to work on vehicles while he own snap on tools and still paying for it. but he already left in few years ago....

Like ba614, I like to have a lot of brands represented, rather than have everything from one brand. IMO, each brand does something well... and I like to have experience with the many flavors of tools out there.

Would I like all Snap On tools? Sure, I suppose. But it wouldn't be very interesting....

I checked S-O, even though I haven't bought any in a loooong time. I have lots of other brands, too. Like eschoendorff said, many brands have their uses.

Lots of specialty tools and test equipment sold by the trucks are rebranded "staple" brands, anyway. Lisle, OTC, KD, Kent-Moore, etc.

I voted other. The more I use Wright tools, the more I like them. I have a mix of everything, but if I could have anything, I think I would go with Wright.
