BEWARE of Autolifters ( http://www.autolifters.com/m6.html ), makers of garage lifts, they took my money.

EDIT: LuckyDevil was kind enough to post pics of the lawyer letters from them and the line from my CC bill (I have called the CC company and they are sending me a dispute form.

That ***** man. I hope everything works out. Dispute it for sure. If you pay your stuff in full every month, get an AMEX card. They, for us at least, bend over backwards to make sure you don't get screwed.

Uro- I added the pics in for you. Why can't you post pics here, is it giving you an error?

That ***** big time. The messed up thing is that it looks like they are still trying to scam people because their site is up. I may try to call tomorrow just to see if the guy will offer to sell me a lift.

Wow. That *****...big time.

I wonder if retaining a lawyer would be advisable? Just in case the credit card company gives up.

We totally agree! AMEX has saved our bacon many times over during the past 20-30 years. My wife and I only carry one of the other cards for emergency use if AMEX is not accepted and we don't want to pay cash.

Well, like everyone elese has said... take it up with the credit card company. I have found visa to be great in assisting with bad businesses and granting refunds. They may not be fast, but they have always been fair with my disputes. I had one dispute the Better Business Bureau wouldn't even touch and Visa stepped in and gave me a refund.

As for posting pics: click on the "Manage Attachments" button when on the message editor page and then just browse for the pics and press the "upload" button. If you don't hit the "upload" button the pics won't get attached.

I hope you fair well. I, too, have a dispute open with Chase Visa. And wouldn't you know it, it's something for my garage...my garage doors. Apparently, some people think they can do a shotty job and get away with it.

Good luck. Keep us up to date!!

It reads as though they're trying to make it right with you. They admitted that the company is going under and that they have your money. Still, you need to make sure that you stay on them to get your money back.

Been trying to get to their site for a couple of days now to research buying a lift. I finally googled it incase their addy changed and read this. Hopefully everything will work out for you Uro. For me I guess this is the only good thing to come out of horribly delayed construction. Keep us posted.

I am not sure how often he comes here, I am pretty sure it got resolved and he got his money back. I will ask him to come and reply to verify.
