Just thought I'd share what I'm tinkering with right now. First is a bandsaw stand for my little Jet. Now I can run a flood coolant (not really nessecary, but it sure is fun) system on it. Plus its alot more stabe and you can just push it around the floor. I had all the steel layin' around so I figured it would make a good project.

Next, I am trying to get all the machining work done before the end of the schoolyear while I still have acess to a machine shop. I'm hoping to get an english wheel and planishing hammer built. Today I got the lower die holder and a few of the dies done for the p-hammer. Nothing to hard, especially compared to the e-wheel anvils:pimpflash . I just did a backyard hardening job on them, they are tempering right now. The first one I tried it on ruined one of my files so I guess it worked. :lol_hitti

Wow, cool dies! You'll like the fluid with your band saw. I've spent quite a bit of time with a Jet band saw with fluid. We had the Jet stand that came with the fluid container built in. You'll like the added height too.

The drip pan got painted yesterday, and I finished all the fab work. All thats left is to sand an spray the base and assemble.

I didn't mean for it to be this fancy, but I had the time and all the steel was laying around the shop taking up space so what the hey.

FINALLY i got around to spraying the base... turned out pretty good! All thats left is to hook up the hyd. cyl. and coolant system and i'll be cookin' with gas.

How about this, I send you the dimensions of my old Craftsman horizontal bandsaw and you make me one of those nifty bases just cause I am a good guy!
