Anyone here use or used Titan Tool Ratchets? They have a 3 piece ratchet set that I am considering.

Anyone have any positive or negative to say about Titan Ratchets. I know a small local tool place carries them up in my town so curious.

I see them for sale at the local Oreilly auto parts and they normally carry just a few items and of what they do have they will have 1 on-hand.

Cant say how they work tho.

I have one of the TItan 1/2"-3/8" drive stubby ratchets in my truck tools that I have had no problems with. Deere dealers in Iowa carry the Titan scrapers, ratchets, and adjustable wrenches.

I have a set of Titan gearless ratchets like this one:

This was a checkout line impulse buy. The ones I have seemed very well made (in Taiwan). The heads are super slim and only require 3 degrees for the ratchet action. The biggest problem is that they have a push-through to reverse design that makes it possible to get the ratchet trapped in a tight place when there is not enough room to get a bolt all the way out. This is because you must remove the socket to push the drive through and flip it over to reverse it. The gearless design is super smooth with almost no back drag. It is almost too smooth, whenever I use one I have to keep telling myself that it is working because it feels a lot like a ratchet that is in between forward and reverse with no gear contact. I guess that is the main reason I do not use them very much.

I have not tried any of their traditional ratchets but I would expect they would be ok based purely on the build quality of the gearless ones. I don't think I would go out of my way to seek them out though.

I would take the $50 and buy one of these:
