WOO HOO Got my Moto Floor!!! Costco rocks! I placed my order on Monday it was shipped on Monday and it came direct from Snap Lock aka Race Deck Today. I paid for 8 cartons and a edge kit shipping was $105.

I opened the boxes and they look just like Race Deck tiles only they have double diamonds in the diamond plate pattern. If I can find my camera I will post some pictures. They are just as thick as Race Deck tiles so the rumor that the moto floor is less durable is BS I have seen Race Deck in person and this is the same thing. The tiles are floating when installed so air circulation does occur no standing water, mold, mildew. I am 100% satified with the motofloor at half the cost of the Race Deck! I don't work for Costco but I am a die hard customer. The Moto Floor sale ends on the 12th.

Congratulations. Those make a great looking floor.

How do those sorts of tiles hold up to jacks/jack stands? Also, welding sparks?

Jack stands and jacks great, I weld over mine but mostly with the tig, when I use the mig or plasma cutter I put down a welding blanket.

Should I seal my concrete floor before laying down the tiles?

That's great to hear. Thanks. It's not what I would have expected. Looks like these tiles are a good answer for now, or later.

That is $2.21 Sqft Not sure how you swung that deal. After shopping around the best I could find was $3.10 Sqft that was not shipped. Most dealers were at or over $4.00 Sqft.

Just received an email from Snaplock, about the Motofloor.

If anyone ordered a black/white completer kit and received a charcoal, you can contact them to have it swapped out. If you need further info and didn't get their email, PM me and I'll forward it to you.

I got it too. Although I got what I ordered. I responded back thanking them for the great offer. Also asked some questions. It was confirmed the various brands are the same. Except, you have to buy in qty. of 48, limited to charcoal or what they call "oreo" Black and white, and the diamond plate pattern is different.

This may be a stupid question but with racedeck or any type of "floating floor" how do you clean the debri that collects under the tiles ie leavs, spilt antifreeze....etc etc.......do you just spray it out???

Thanks

Shop vac.... you can also hose the tiles down. Since they are floating there is no sitting water problems.

" A lot ?" $1000 bucks to do the entire garage with a premium floor? I spent more than that. I wish they had a sale like this when I did mine.

Be aware of what you are buying!! I purchased 850 sq. ft. of Moto Floor. I had a sample of the Race Deck product and based on this thread I thought the Moto Floor was the same product. Not even close. Sure it's made by the same company, the overall thickness is the same, and they even snap together with the Race Deck, but the individual sections that make up the tile are only half as thick. The tile flexes much more than the race deck, which in itself is not a problem, but it illustrates that it is indeed a lighter version. The two main problems I have with them personally is 1) the drainage openings are much smaller. Because of this the tiles will not drain if placed over a rubber underlayment, which I am doing to illiminate the "clackety" sound of plastic on concrete. Another big difference is the look. All of the molded ribs on the bottom side of the tile show through on the surface because of the thinner section. Makes it look much cheaper. There is nothing "wrong" with the product, but I would rather pay 25% more for the superior Race Deck tiles. I also gain the additional color choices, surface patterns, and a 15 yr. instead of 10 yr. warranty. Because it's Costco I can return tiles for a full refund including shipping, so I'm ordering the Race Deck.

My dad told me our Costco has them but based on what I've heard and what you've just reiterated,I think I'll just spring for the extra $$$ and go RaceDeck.
