Since there was no discussion let me start one.
Where are you in PA?
I am in Walnutport PA 18088, it is a small town about 90 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. I am basically in the "The Lehigh Valley" which is composed of Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and surrounding communities.

I have PM'd with a couple of giys on here that are close by me. I remember one guy near Lehighton and another in Macungie.

Let's hear a shout out for your town.

Thanks for starting the discussion! I'm outside of Harrisburg, near Hershey. Spent some time up by Williamsport working for PennDOT but couldn't get a permanent position. Starting a new job in a week or two.

From Indiana Pa about 60 miles east of pittsburgh. smaller town but not so small that you know everyone.Most people know it for IUP, O and can't leave out home of Jimmy Stewart.

I go to many concerts. I get out to Hershey a few time a year for shows at the park although I've never actually been in the amusement park.
About 5 or 6 times a year I cruise out 80 to deep in the woods of Clearfield County to a relatives "cabin" to unwind and leave society behind.

My town is along a canal that was used to transport goods by mule pulled barges. http://www.delawareandlehigh.org/ind...ns/walnutport/ My parents house is right across the street from the locktenders house in the pic on this link. I looked out my bedroom window at this every morning. Was/is a nice place to fish and explore as a kid.

My town is right next to Slatington http://www.delawareandlehigh.org/ind...ns/slatington/ . Early in the last century it was the slate quarry capitol of the area. It was neat to explore and swim in the slate quarries too.

What is unique to your town??

Nice, the most unique thing about palmyra is probably the fact that it's the home of Seltzer's balogna...and that it's built on a giant sinkhole...but it seems to be a booming town despite that!

Rural - half way twixt Harrisburg and State College. Not much out here!

I now live in Creekside, PA just outside of Indiana, PA, but I was born and raised in Cochranton, PA it is a little town about an hour south of Erie.

jbailly-- real close to creekside between creekside and clymer we always get ice cream in creekside

I live in the Lehigh Valley, near a town called Coopersburg. Been in the valley since '92. Before that I have lived in Erie, PA and western New York State.
