Re: Lets see your workbench
Here's mine I put together a few months ago. It's the 2x4 Basics kit finished in an amber stain. The Cobra is now powder coated flat black.

Re: Drilling concrete
Like others have said, the included Tapcon bits are garbage. Try the Vermont American drill bits. They are a chrome-like finish bit in a red package, like this, (click)...

Re: Pet Peaves of Craigslist Posters
I love buying on CL, but I absolutely hate selling. CL is the home to the most flaky people out there. I have a set of wheels in my garage that I've posted and "sold" like 5 times and then the buyer...

Re: After waiting for something different...
I didn't pay attention to the post dates until I saw the bump post. I'm very interested in an update as well, but he hasn't been on this site in 2 years, so I won't hold my breath. I'm mostly curious...

Re: Would you move for a job?
I've moved like 6 times in my life. It gets old. There are pluses and minuses to every city. Having moved a lot in my life, I'm not really looking to do much more. It would have to be one hell of an...

Re: New Garage in Cold Florida 25 x 36
MLB is on the coast. After the 2004 hurricane season, much of the state adopted code similar to South Florida. Block construction is pretty much the norm for new construction.

Re: Budget remodel
I like the accent wall and love the Z06! I don't recall seeing very many garages with ceilings that follow the pitch of the roof like that.

Re: HOA says no storage shed...now what?
Some good ideas thus far. Like others have mentioned, read the CCRs and focus on the area between the lines.
HOAs are not pure evil. My tiny neighborhood has an HOA, but they enforce nothing, so,...

Re: Parking in the living room
Ridiculous! Some people live their lives to catch other people "breaking" rules. They don themselves the enforcers when they possess no actual authority. It has nothing to do with appearance,...

Re: Director Kevin Smith too Fat to Fly
No, he is enormous. He didn't used to be that fat, but he's put on a TON of weight in recent years. That pic you posted is from a few years ago.
Edit: Just to be clear, I'm not saying that I think...

Re: Moving...Where to go?
^ I spent about half my life in Birmingham, AL. It's a great place! A very nice medium-sized city. Good people, housing, etc. I've lived in Florida for about the last 8 years - stints in North,...

Re: Built a 'crane' for my Heavy Bag...
Very nice! I have a wall mount for my heavy bag that has a 4' arm that allows it to swing in and out that I paid too much money for, but it was my only option. How does your bag lock into place when...

Re: Is there a magical number?
It's the sad truth. I started with 2, then 4, and now I want 8. I don't know if there is such thing as too much light. I was actually trying to figure out if I could mount some on the wall to get...

Re: Is there a magical number?
I have four 4' double bulbs in my 20x20 garage. Ample light, but I want/need more. I'm thinking another 4 fixtures aimed more in between the cars. With that said, I would think 6 of those 8-footers...

Re: Gladiator Wall cabinet on clearance at lowes
I bought 5 early today. Went to another Lowe's 3 hours later and they were $59. I showed them the $29 receipt and they wouldn't price match. Gave me some bs about inventory, then I explained to them...

Re: Build a better workbench
I have the adjustable shelving unit in my garage as well. You just can't beat it for $75. I've often thought of enclosing the front and sides of it for a cleaner look. I guess I just need to figure...
