My son uses a 2x4 break the beads by placing the tire assembly flat in a corner. He then puts the 2x4 flat on the edge of the tire near the wheel and jumps on the board. the bead will usually break...

Look at your shower valve for a brand name.
Also do you have a tub spout?
Some people have already stated the flow to the tub spout is unrestricted while the shower may have restriction.

Look at the automotive engine paints. International truck red paint. Try the farm supply also for tractor paints. You might find something you like there.

A 330 ohm was in my thoughts also.
