I was thinking about dust sticking to the stained plywood. In my opinion a satin poly would be smother & hold less dust. They also make stain with poly in it.

My vin # did not come up last time I checked. It will fall into the recall when they catch up.
Also I fixed the switch by spraying a very small amount of a dry aerosol lub on the trip button.

Gm service bulletin

Any one have access to GM bulletins? I have a 2006 Corvette with intermittent drivers information center switches. They are on the right side of the speedo. The bulletin is # 3537A. It is for a 2005...

How about brushing it with a broom, or dusting it off with compressed air? Not the best way, but better than painting dirt.
