Damn, I wish I could go do this. Looks like a fun way to get rid of all these damn pests that plague our lands. Something like this was posted before, but the poster was appalled what was going on. It's just pest control. Smashing cockroaches.

Sit on my back porch and you'll have your pick of 20 + between 2 and 4 AM.

They are dangerous, filthy, destructive, frighteningly strong and scary smart.

There is an annual neighborhood effort to capture and kill as many as possible. We'll kill a 100+, keep what we want and dump the rest. If we don't bury them as we kill them, and they must be buried deep, they will eat the dead ones before we can get back to burying them. A 400 lb pig will disappear in 24 hours and there ain't even a wet spot left behind. They make the local rabbits look like lazy multipliers.

Feral hogs carry lots of diseases. They should only be processed by someone who knows how to do it properly, wearing the proper protective clothing and shoulder length gloves, etc.

Rule of thumb is, if any part of your hand touches any part of the outside of the hog while preparing it - wash it!

No better camping grub than a properly (ground hole dug) preparation... Next day... culinary bliss!
