Default OK, you've got my attention

For anyone that has ever skied or snowboarded, and even those that have not, this is awesome.

It seems we have really been breaking the boundries when it comes to extreme sports lately. I though I was pretty crazy when I was young but shortly after I started to calm down, things got nuts with extreme freestyl sports. Now all the crazy stuff I did pales in comparison to what is happening now.

Here's a great story and trick for you. A quick recap first. This guy had an accident on skis in 2004 that left him a paraplegic. He move onto the sit ski after recovery and started getting very good.

The link below will take you to the video of him performing the first ever backflip on a sit ski!

Glad to see he is back at it!

I can't wait for some asshat to gripe about something today. I'm showing this to everyone. If you want something bad enough you'll find a way to acheive it.

This has been out for years now and is more targeted towards handicap individuals but you can buy them for fun too which some people do.

Considering how close I came to being paraplegic this past August, I look for all the inspiration I can find. I'd like to think I'd throw myself into things in the same manner I have with a near full recovery. I crushed my T9 in a cycling accident and have re-evaluated everything I want to do in life... That dude is AWESOME!!!

zjrog

I hear you loud and clear. I had a ski accident in 2006 that could have left me paralyzed (crushed L2) among a host of other major injuries. The worst of which was a damaged heart. The doctors originally told my family I would not make it through the night.

Well I am here and walking and the recovery continues. I will never get back to where I was but I am more than safisfied with where I am.

I took a slightly different look at things than this guy as my accident at 31 years old was a wake up call to slow things down and start a different part of my life. I married not long after and now have a 15 month old son and a daughter on the way

I can easily say that family life is the biggest challenge I have had to date

Great video. Being one a category of 'those people' I still find it incredible what someone can do with the things they have.

dirttracker, I think my accident had an opposite affect on me. Before, mentally I was pretty reserved with a methodical approach. I was quick and good with physical skills, a natural athlete. After the accident I wasn't so natural anymore and mentally it lit my hair on fire. Everything became a challenge to overcome with my new state. I've done a lot because of it. I just wish I could have found out to do all this stuff when I did have two hands. Oh well, onward.
