Anyone with some experience?
I have it running good but wonder what the starting point for the low speed rich/lean "dial should be? The adjusting screw on the white piece seems to be an idle speed adjuster and the one on the black piece a max speed adjustment but I may be off and their may be a "proper" way of doing this rather than winging it. |

If your motor is in good state of tune with good coils, fresh plugs and clean carb, your motor should run regardless of dial setting.
Once the motor is warmed up and running and in the water on the boat (not in a test tank), put it in gear at idle. Now adjust the low spead until you get the most RPMS. There should be sweet spot and u'll be able to hear it. Once you find the sweet spot, you are good to go. Now, this may need to be adjusted occassionally if you are running at different altitudes or different temps, humidity. |

I would like to know if what the "proper" way to set the high speed mechanism is. Also the dial setting can be closed all the way by pulling the knob off and back then reinstalling and closing. Repeat until closed. Was looking for a starting point. Like many automotive cards I have worked on you can go a turn and a half and try it. May need to get it out and wing it. Runs good in the tank. I am giving to my FIL who is in his early 80's and 400 miles away so I was wanting it to be the best running and starting possible. Thanks. |

+2 for iBoats. They have individual forums for each brand if you scroll down. They have a repair specialist monitor the forum and he will even tell you the part # that you need.
I purchased a bunch of boat trailer parts from them a couple of years ago and the parts were well priced and arrived quickly. |
