I couldn't find anything I wanted in stock at my local "hometown store" (I know they have it, but they never update their stock). With that said, while I wanted to order a 21mm and a 22mm 6-pt 1/2 drive socket to finish out my 6 points, they weren't available without being shipped (or without having to drive 45 minutes to pick them up). Since gas isn't cheap, and I didn't want to loose that $10 in Sears cash, I walked away with one of those black 14" tool boxes with the removable tray. I've got one already, and after doing a bit of reworking with a Xacto knife, the hinges are nice and smooth (had to remove excess material left over from casting). So, thanks Sears...

I used it on a 1/4 sheet Craftsman Pro sander. After the $10, it was only another $30 that I had to chip in.
I just hope it lasts as long as my $20 Craftsman sander that I bought five years ago. That cheapie has been amazingly reliable considering the cost. I'm looking forward to less vibration. |

I bought an oil filter wrench and a spark plug chaser. Nothing fancy, had to return some wrench racks I didn't like anyway. I didn't see any clearance tools there.

How did you get the $10. Email? Mail? Store?

I bought a Craftsman 4pc. hook and pick set. Paid around $9 after the rewards. I've already had a Snap On miniature pick set but I need a bigger set for radiator hoses.

Despite the fact I am a member I never received word of this. Was there an email or something and were you actually given $10 in free cash with your Shop your way rewards cash?

You had to be signed up for SYWR emails and have your SYWR card linked to your Sears.com profile to get the email. My mother wasn't signed up or linked, despite having a SYWR card, so she missed it too. I got the email but it went to my spam folder so I just got lucky reading about it here.

Dan: Do you think if I go to my local Sears they would help me out with this and give me the coupon or do you think they would go all corporate America on me and say "sucks to be, not our problem."

Danco: Sears sells eraser boards? In all the times I've gone there, I've never seen one, but they probably sell them online.
Yeah Sears is hit or miss these days. Mostly miss in my case, as every item I've bought from Sears, bar a couple items, has either nearly broke on me or just didn't work at all. Even their Craftsman items that were even made in USA have given me some issues. |

The promotion was only good thru April 23. They'll probably give you a $10 off $75 coupon if you ask for it, they hand those out like candy on Sundays at the Sears I go to.

Dan: Just called Sears today and worked this all out. Turns out there was an error and I had the person on the other end fix the issue.
Thank you for your help though. |
