ALWAYS make sure it is single phase. I've had a couple of friends drag home great buys from craigslist, auctions, garage sales only to discover the machine was three-phase.
Yes, one can use a static or rotary converter or VFD, but that's more complexity and expense than some want to tackle. jack vines |
