WOW, I just upgraded from $59/month for standard def to $89/month for high def and that included a DVR, where are you guys ? I can't believe I finally something that is cheaper in Santa Barbara then the rest of the U.S.
I think internet cable is around $40 or $50, I pay $81.75/month for 8 IPs and no blocked ports, they call it business cable but its worth it for the 8 dedicated IP addresses. I did question the need to go hi def but now that I have seen it, its worth every penny and I am liking the DVR too, it replaced my Betamax YES BETAMAX, skipped the VHS generation. |

Or just make the cards for the receiver to get free programming.

"I did look on Craigslist and there are a lot of receivers for sale cheap (35 bucks or less). Im going to see where this road takes me...."
Be sure to read up on the differences between MPeG 2 and MPeg 4, as almost all of the HD channels are now in MPeG 4, and the older, cheap DVR's you are probably looking at (HR10-250 and such) won't get the channels. |

Wow, 69 channels is a whole lot for OTA. Pretty impressive. I only get 12 and some of them are junk. What all do you get besides the major networks?

Good site here to get started. I'm about 30-35 miles from the nearest station and right now only one I have any problems with is PBS they are not the farthest,so i fugure there transmitter is just weak.
