geoff
Funny story, I bought them downtown Portland on a dark shady road from a guy that was selling them out of the back of an industrial cleaning truck (seriously). He said 6 rugs for $30 and I didn't ask questions. They are very heavy duty rubber backed non slip. I think there is a company logo on a few of them. I'll check tonight.

I have them in my shop too. Awesome rugs!

Really nice looking restorations - very clean - did you do anything specail to the engine covers to get them so "like new". I have a couple of old Yamys that are dull grey and so far no luck.

Was minding my own business last spring surfing ebay (while my wife was out shopping) thinking about how the lawn needed aerating and how I hated the little turds that always leaves behind. Then found the Hydroject 3000 at an auction site about an hour away. So swooped in at the last second and won it. Should have seen the wife's face when she opened the garage door ...priceless!! The Hydroject is what Professional golf courses use to aerate their greens and tee boxes etc. It aerates by water hydraulic pressure and leaves no turds sitting on top of the grass. It is powered by a 24hp 2 cyl Kohler and is hydraulically self propelled off the rear turf wheel. The front wheels are used for transport and hydraulically lifted once it's time to irrigate - You attach a garden hose to the beast and flow 1.5 gallons/minute during irrigation (min). Once ready you lower the unit so that the 11 hydraulically actuated injectors across the front sit just above the turf. Hit the engage injection button and each of the injectors blow a hole into the turf 6" - 8" deep. It is powerful enough to blow asphalt 1/2 deep pin holes in the driveway every 4" or so...how do I know?? Well I managed to pick up the 1150 lb beast and repaired what was wrong and now have a $15,000(new) aerator for the price of a Home Depot cheapie.
Now that is a pretty sweet machine! I don't think I personally would ever have a use for it but cool none the less...lol

I thought it was a Norton. I love those old Combat's. I have had a couple but always seem to end up parting with them somehow. Restoring that one?

NICE!

I am going to have to pick me up a couple of those stands I see in a lot of member's posts. I currently have two of the Craftsman pro jacks and a lift but those would be handy for changing tires instead of clearing lift everytime.

For all of those that have them, any certain ones you prefer and why? What about front wheel stands?

Thanks

I'd be lost without my stands.

I have several brands, Pitbull, Lockhart Phillips, Harbor Freight, and the red stand is a chinese made unit I grabbed off eBay in a hurry and I have another no-name unit laying around somewhere. The Pitbull is hands down the highest quality stand I've ever used, followed by Lockhart Phillips.

Believe it or not..the Harbor Freight swing arm stand I have is a pretty stout unit. I wouldn't try talking anyone out of buying one.

Any of them work on the front wheel's too? I have found that my lift will not fit some of the wider rear tires when I put the bike on backwards to change front wheel. I have also noticed on most of the sport bikes the jack bends the plastics. Woul dbe nice to change a front tire and not worry about customer freaking out when he sees the plastics under his bike begin to buckle a little...lmao

The Harbor Freight stand has adapters that allow it to be used under the forks or under the swing arm. However, you do not EVER want to use a front stand without having a swing arm stand in place also. My Lockhart Phillips is a stem stand, for use on the front of motorcycles only..and limited to mostly newer (90's -up) sportbikes. I believe Pitbull makes adapters for their stands to work front or rear.
