I don't see any insulation, adding later? Or none at all? I would think in that neck of the woods it would be needed, along with A\C. What are your main uses for the space.

Insulation panels are placed on before the tin goes up. A/C would be great, but our utility bills are quite high enough. Thinkin of using overhead radiant heat. It worked pretty good in my last building that I had. At least it kind of shady around the building, And get the persistant summer south winds to keep ya to a cool sweat. haha. Planning on using the building for car storage, car building, etc.

What roof pitch is that? Im building a 36x56x14h this summer. Is this your first pole barn build. Ive never done it and would love any tips or observations youve had. Im kinda baffeled by the size of the project ive taken on. Oh and it looks great!

The roof is a 4/12 pitch. The overhangs were an extra cost option offered by the building company. I used Better Built Structures from Sapulpa, Ok. www.carportsgaragespolebarns.com They were very easy to work with, and their building crew was very professional and hard working. Its amazing to go from empty pad to complete structure in 3 days. The overhangs were created by using longer trusses, on the sides and boxing in, while on the gabel ends were boxed out while up on the building. These guys definitely weren't afraid of heights. I asked one guy on the crew while he was walking around on top of the trusses, if he'd ever fallen, he said "You only do it once, you find out how much it hurts, and you won't do it again."

End of day 3, and the structure is finished. Now time to do some backfilling, and getting everything ready for some concrete.

Interior views showing insulation and structure.

End of day 3 outside views.
