Default Date codes for Mac, Matco, Cornwell tools?

Is there any way to tell how old these things are?

I'm aware of the Snap-on date codes...

Sorry to bump this old thread up but I'm interested in this as well. I see on all my matco ratchets that there is some sort of date code. Does anyone have a picture of them all like the snap on one I see around so commonly? When I searched, this is the only thread that came up. If I missed it I'm sorry.

How about Craftsman date codes? I have an old craftsman extension that has no model number on it but it does say craftsman and have a date code. No one knows any of these except snap on?

Krusty

How about we made our own reference chart for Matco then. I have started to make one and will be happy to keep it updated if other people will contribute. I have started off with the two recent ones that I have. I also took pictures of the date codes. Hopefully we can fill this out.

The reason I put the other letters in there is because I ASSumed that the trend may continue backwards. The dashes seem to vary between years though so I didn't fill those in. Once I get confirmation of them I will gladly update this.

yeah i presume this will maybe turn out like the craftsman date thread but if we can get some input from other people that have older versions we might be able to figure quite a number of years out.

Then again it might turn out to be nothing. I guess we'll find out. No big deal.

All of my 88 ratchets are stamp with a X, and I bought them all in 2010.
