I've scored @ 6 grease guns from our dumpster. Seems our maintenance contractors don't know how to put a new cartridge in. Throw the empty one away and buy a new one??

40' of warehouse sheving 2' deep 8' tall. Fluorescent lights. If a grocery store in your area is remodeling. Keep an eye on the dumpster.

Mirolin porcelain drop in sink, nearly new with Moen faucets. Thought it might replace the sink in our downstairs bath, but does not completely cover the cut out. Kept the faucets for later and sold the sink on "Kijiji" for $35, after making it look new again.
![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us Found a nearly new York 2001 work out center, that appears mostly complete except the bolts and cables are missing. Any suggestions what to make out it or is there a sale value for this stuff? Don't suggest I put it into action as that ain't gonna happen...........I'm well past my prime and wearing out fast enough without pushing it. Besides, I get all the exercising I need by walking, riding my bike and chasing after the neighbour's dog. ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

Typically are dumpsters fair game in your area? Do you ask permission or just jump in if its accessible?

Some of it might end up there if there is no local interest. But it has some pretty HD square tubing and fancy bends, etc, that will not. Would like to find a home for it where it might be put to use...........fat chance I think! It is probably in the same league as lifetime gym memberships.

When I was about 3 or 4 I found a bouquet of plastic flowers and gave them to my mom. She kept them for years. Sorry no pics.

Not really dumpster diving but.......Since I'm a manager at a scrapyard I get first dibs. I got a Craftsman 42" Hyrdostatic mower that ran great needed a mower deck. The other manager got a practically new snow blower that needed a carb tune-up

In highschool all the students in the small engines classes had to bring in 2 small engines, one to take apart and make a display of the pieces and the other to rebuild and troubleshoot. After the project 95% would not want them back, so I would spend my shop hour taking engines out of the dumpster and loading up my truck. I averaged a full 6' truckbed every week taken to the scrapyard and must have made over a thousand dollars and the teachers never cought on to why I wanted all of them.
Also scored an ammco brake lathe with all of the adapters. That was fun to pull out it must weigh 400lbs. I really should sell that one of these days lol |

Do have a 7 1/4 Dewalt circular saw that a roofing company threw away in the dumpster. There was no power with cutting plywood,2x4s with it and it was a simple fix.Replace the blade and the saw works great.Extension cords that still worked and still do.My father's clean up guy Lee that cleans his shop found all of this in the dumpster and gave it to us.I once found a car battery in the dumpster,It was junk and did get money out of it for scrap.I pulled it out right away.

10 or so impacts guns, 5 nailers, 30 or so other various air tools, more hand tools than you could shake a stick at, a US General roll cab, a 10ton hydraulic dent removal system, and about 500lbs of scarp steel.....it really was utopia in the trash can that day. I filled the 6.5 ft bed on my f-150 about a foot over the brim from a single dive.

I pulled a nearly new, commercial grade, EZ-UP shelter out of a dumpster, after a trade show. Some accessories were still in their wrappers. It had a carry bag with it too!
