Default 2007 Buick LaCrosse no heat

My daughter's 2007 Buick LaCrosse with automatic climate control has no heat or defrost. Blower motor runs, temp gauge is running where it normally runs, anybody have any suggestions where to look for this problem?

Before taking it anywhere try unhooking the battery for about 30 seconds to reset the computer. that has worked on my truck twice so far.

coolant level is probably down due to the fact of the water pump going bad and spitting it slowly out the weep hole.

haha!

or could be leaky intake gaskets, head gaskets, air in the system... blah blah blah

junk gm.

Can't see spending $11,000 for a box that does the same damn thing as a box that's just as big and does the same exact thing as one for $1,000....

What y'all think?

check under the hood for a valve in the heater hose 'some are vacuum operated and some will have a cable not sure for your car but valve may not be opening , also the door in the heater blower box may not be opening.
Google it you fine the problem.
