Howdy,

Just purchased and built a 25x25 Cimmaron garage kit from Sutherlands. Excellent experience and way cheaper than HD or Lowes. The fella I dealt with was super helpful and went above and beyond helping me out.

Good luck with whichever way you decide to go.

Price looks good, but i cant vouch for them. I did just build a 30x40x10 pole barn my self (with TONS of help from a neighbor, if it was not for him i would have had to hire it done) from DIYPolebarns for $5900 delivered/tax without a garage door. I picked the door up locally for half of what they wanted.

Check them out. Great kit, great customer service.

I dont know of the versatube from lowes, but i did talk to someone at American Steel buildings about a similar building.

It was more expensive, and did require a cement pad be laid before construction could begin but it did have the added benefit of easy construction. And if you want to expand the building later on, all you need to do is pour more cement and attach more sections with some bolts. Pretty easy to do.

I think they quoted me some "end of the year" special price and gave me a military discount because my in law is retired army (and the guy on the phone was as well). It came out to around 10K delivered/tax for a 28x36 building. Again that did not include cement, just the metal.

I had a quote from Sutherlands for my 24'x32' pole barn and it would have been more than what I purchased the wood from Home Depot. Some of the pictures of my pole barn are in my garage thread. I ended up buying the metal from Mueller who supplied the material for my garage. The steel is thicker than what Sutherlands has. I also bought all KDAT (Kiln Dry after Treatment) presure treated wood. Again I built this myself and knew exactly the material I needed. It ended up being if I remember correctly about $3500 cheaper going this route.

the kit package Sutherlands gave me I walked around their store and found the price in the kit for materials was more than what was on the shelf.

At HD I went to the contractors desk and they gave me a better price than what was on the shelf. They had to special orderthe KDAT andd some of the post and the rafters, about aweek or so.
