Hey all.
Stumbled onto this site because Finally, after 35 years of waiting (okay, maybe birth to age 16 does not really count but it has been a long time coming since then) I will SOON have my own garages... I have lived in many apartments and houses, and have never had my space until well..... so soon it may as well be now. Close on the new house on March 23, it has an attached 1.75 car (they call it a two car) and a detached 1.75 (again called a two car) that will soon at least in my mind have oh lets see.... 10,000 T8 bulbs, radiant floor heat, 750K btu radiant heater, 4 flat screens, twelve four post lifts, a bar, paint booth, and all the amazing things I have seen and read about on this site. Thanks for the dreams, the how-to's, and the inspiration that comes each day when I check in and stare at the pixels. While my spaces are not as big as I would like, the ceilings are too low, and it will likely be another 35 years till I have any of the above, I do have one thing that makes me a very happy camper (besides having ANY garage ). for I had one other request with the Miss (soon to be Mrs) on our new house.0.0 and I mean NO Covenants, restrictions, HOA, or the other crap I have been living on under my townhouses, apartments, etc. I will not be that obnoxious neighbor with the 75 foot pink Statue of Liberty in the front yard, in fact they probably won't even see me for the first six months. Gonna pull the Jeep into the garage, pull out a folding chair, prop my feet on the bumper and just be content to be sitting in MY garage. And hello world of garagejournal, my name is Joe ![]() <wave> |

Hey Joe, way to go!
"Gonna pull the Jeep into the garage, pull out a folding chair, prop my feet on the bumper and just be content to be sitting in MY garage." If a guy could capture the feeling of ^that^ moment and put it in a bottle, he'd never stop smiling for the rest of his natural life! |
