any info on this model Craftsman bench vise?

Been looking at buying a bench vise and keep running across this model Craftsman that says "Made in USA". Just curious if anyone knows what years they were made, who actually made them for Sears and if its any good? This is just to go in my garage for use once in awhile.

If it were me I'd take the second one. It is old, and looks a hell of a lot cooler than the new one.

I had one that looks identical to the first one except for the Craftsman name. It was a Columbian. It worked ok but the spindle nut inside wore out after a year or 2 of pretty heavy use in our automotive machine shop. If you are going to use it in your home garage it would probably do ok. With that being said, I would also go with that second one. Its older when thing were built better, and its way cooler looking. If you have the patience look for a used one on Craigslist, or at garage/estate sales. I have picked up at least 6-7 older Wiltons most for under $20.
