Default Painting lines on asphalt driveway?

With my newly paved (about 2 weeks old) driveway done, I figure it is time to get fancy--I want to mark the parking area (three spaces) with lines (just to annoy the kids) and wondered if there were any suggestions on what paint to use?

I would use asphalt striping tape. It sticks well, but is removable if you wish.

I used yellow Trem-clad (Rustolem) to paint some lines on the parking lot at work. It has stood up very well after five years.

When I had to do that in a commercial environment, I simply went to the local hardware store and bought some paint specially made for the job..................and I did it.

I used some regular enamel several years ago to paint a basketball court (well ... part of one) for my son and his buddies. It has held up better than the sealcoating.

Go to Grainger or MSC Direct. They have special traffic paints and applicators for the purpose.

BTW - You won't be able to brush the stuff on. You'll either need to roll it or spray it on with a stencil or use a special applicator.

A 4"roller using a long 2x4 as a guide works well for the straight line parking stripes.
