Default Let's see your Lifelong Parade of Cars and Trucks

Don't know if there is a thread like this.

Not just your present car or truck, but the whole lineup of cars and trucks you've ever had. You could even go back to the ones your family had when you were a child. I like to remember them all, from a 49' Ford to a 54 Packard to a 62 Chevy Nova convertible. If you don't have photos of the actual car, then post photos of that year, make and model, and if possible color. Let us know when it's not your actual vehicle. Tell us about them. Did you buy them new or used. What happened to them. What was your favorite. Which ones do you wish you still had?

First car I remember in the family was a 49' Ford. It was the black one. Loved the grille. Looked like this:

My first car, that I bought was a black 52' Ford with a loose front bench seat I bought for $27.50 including tax. Learned to drive a stick. Exciting as the seat would move when it jerked into gear. Photo not of mine.

Next was a 62' Chevy NovaII convertible. Just about my favorite. Bought for $800. Took out the back seat and filled the trunk and back seat with a bed and lived in it for a while. Abandoned in Atlanta when it blew a head gasket and didn't have money to repair.
Looked just like this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvqp65fZrNI

Then a 63' Buick Skylark convertible. Boy, this one would climb the hills in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC. Mine started out turquoise but I had it painted yellow. Not a photo of mine.

More later

I'll have a go although I'll need to do photos later.

My personal tally:

1978 MK1 Vauxhall Cavalier
Honda C70 (my only foray onto two wheels!)
1980 Alfasud Gold Cloverleaf
1975 Triumph Spitfire 1500
1676 Triumph 1500TC (Dolomite)
1982 Alfasud Ti Green Cloverleaf
1965 Series IIa 88" Landrover
1991 Mazda 323F-GT
1967 Chevrolet C10 Long Fleetside pickup
1991 Isuzu Trooper Citation 2.8TD
1998 Isuzu Trooper Citation 3.1TD
2001 Chevrolet S10 Blazer

My wifes cars since I met her

Rover 218
Suzuki SJ410 Santana
Seat Toledo 1.9 n/a diesel
VW Golf GTi
3 door Landrover Freelander
Jeep Cherokee
Jeep Cherokee (Liberty to you!)
4 door Landrover Freelander TD4
2 x Nissan X-Trail

Parents/Family cars:

I just remember an old Ford Anglia, this was followed by a couple of MK1 Ford Escorts one of which was an estate (station wgaon) These were followed by two Type 2 VW campers, my dad then had a 72 Beetle. We then had a Fiat 126 (for the kids!) followed by a Peugeot 104zl. My dad replaced the Bug with a Yugo 45 just as Yugoslavia erupted into civil war and they bombed the factory! My mum has since had a variety of VW vans, the latest being a VW Sharan.

I know that there is a few more in there but I can't think of them right now

My favorites were my '70 V-Dub, my '66 Merc Cyclone, my '62 T-Bird, My '57 Fairlane, but I think my all time favorite was the 63 1/2 Galaxie. Most of the others I'd get, fix up, drive for awhile and trade off. Back them it wasn't nothing to have a car for a month and trade it off to someone else for their ride. The "66 GTO was a blast but I couldn't keep rearends in it. I went through three in a little over three months, but that car was a screamer.

My cars,

1970 Torino
1969 Skylark
(^^Project cars^^)
1986 Toyota corolla
1991 Ford Escort
1996 Bonneville
1996 Nissan Sentra
2003 Ford Ranger edge

The ranger is my beast. While its not a full sized truck it's perfect, not so big it doesn't fit in my garage and sneaks under low branches when 4x4ing, but not so small my 6'6" self doesn't fit inside.

I'm 28, so it's a shorter list than many of you old farts.

1.) '95 Dodge Neon 4 door w/ roof rack, lapis blue -- aka "Fag Purple"
NOTE: I wanted a mustang or a jeep, worked for a mustang or a jeep, but this was what I got.

2.) '98 Chevy S10, black -- 5 speed, dropped and shaved extensively -- aka "Frank"

3.) '96 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS, black -- manual trans. drift machine -- aka "Ricin"

4.) '98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS, red -- auto trans p.o.s. -- aka "Zippy the Wonder Car / The Red Rocket"

5.) '06 Chevy Silverado 1500 WT -- aka "The Silver Bullet"

Oh, and then there's the 02' Dodge Grand Caravan Sport for my daughter's wheelchair transit and the '97 Sunfire -- they are essentially work vehicles / not actually mine (the better half has them).
