Default Who makes Harley Davidson wrenches?

For some reason I thought it was Snap-On but I could be wrong. 7 piece set made in the USA. 7/16-3/4, if I recall. Good price at $45 or meh?

Oops, after a little digging on my part, they appear to be made by Craftsman. Who knew. Still, I wonder if they are worth anything more. A few sets on ebay with no bids, so I guess not. If any garage journal people are interested I could pick them up for you. Cost of tools plus shipping.

These were made by Snap on back in the early 2000's.

They are bahco/williams wrenches which is a snap on brand.

I'm not expert, but are you guys sure? They certainly look like Snap On, but a quick google search brings up a lot about Craftsman.

Pretty sure the OEM was Williams (a division of Snapon).

Craftsman doesn't make anything. Their OEM (Apex) could have made them.

I think for that price, you might have the ability to make some money flipping them. Did you look on ebay to see if any have sold on there?

I can tell you that there are orange hard handled HD screwdrivers pacaged in a similar fashion that were distributed by snap-on, I do not know if they were manufactured by snap-on. They were given away with purchases as a promo item, or at least that's how we got some of them.

About 1992 I bought a SO Harley Davidson 1/8 inch pocket screwdriver and 8 inch adjustible that were both Snap On. the screwdriver was orange hard handle with a pocket clip.

One side has the HD Bar & Shield. the other side has a HOG logo. $20 for the adjustible and about $3 for the screwdriver. There was also a small tool kit but I forget the price....pretty high but all SO. I bought them at the HD display in Daytona civic center during Bike Week.

there was a phase when HD had Harley Beer, Cigs, popcorn and a fashion show. The Harley Jeans were cheaper than Levis so I used to wear them.

I live in Daytona so I'll ask Snap On Scottie. He told me once that he had them on his trucks for awhile back then. I 'll see if he knows.

Definitely Williams. Notice how about 1/2" to 3/4" back from the open end of the wrench the wrench shaft angles out on both sides and just about doubles in thickness? Williams is the only company I know of that shapes their wrenches like that.

The only thing missing from those Harley wrenches versus the modern Williams Supercombo are the grooves cut out of the open end of the wrench for off corner engagement of nut and bolt heads.

Those Harley sets are nice looking, but it would have been nice had they included an 11/16" instead of just skipping right over it. Maybe you don't need that size to work on a Harley?
