Default MATT'S 40x56x12 CHEVELLE SHOP BUILD PICS

Heres a few pics to show the transformation of our house and yard prior to our build. The first 2 pics are from when moved in 5 years ago.

The next 2 are from this past year.

The new drive is going through here. The propane tank will get moved to the other side of the house next summer.

I took a little real estate from my dog.

Heres some of the poles set. Special thanks goes out to my buddie Terry for helping us. Those 24' poles are sure heavy!

Heres the opening for the 16'x10' door.

This end will have a patio door on the right side that will enter into the rec room.

We hope to build the walls Wednesday and set trusses Thursday or Friday. Should be putting shingles on this weekend. Thanks for looking and I will keep you all posted! -MATT

What did you set the poles in/ on? Just wondering if you used a sono-tube or just a concrete cookie in the bottom of the holes? I am hoping to get started on a 40x 60 soon. Thanks, Jonesy.

I used 12'' pads for most holes. I used 16'' for where we butted 2 poles together for carrying the header over the 16' door and 10'' ones for the 4''x6'' poles that framed the entry door and the patio slider. The holes drilled very easy and we had very hard clay just at the bottom of the holes. -MATT
