I have just installed 10 Lithonia 4' T-8 fixtures in my detached garage. Lots of light, no noise or hum. However, they cause noise/static on my boom-box radio on FM. I did not notice this in my attached garage with three of the same units and same boom-box. Lights are grounded, radio is not. Does gounding make a difference? Do I need to recheck for good bare metal connections? Other suggestions? I have dish/XM in the house but didn't want to run cables the distance to the shop. Help, I'm a music addict in the shop. I'm going to wear out my SRV CD collection. Also, is there a way to run an antennae from a boom-box that has just the telescoping type (about 20" long)? Thanks, Kirby(I did try to search this)

I had the same problem and I installed an FM antena outside my pole barn and now I can listen to my radio with the lights on. I didn't think it was going to work because the interference was really bad. But it comes in very clear. I paid $39.99 bucks for it on eBay.
Here's a link to it http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-HDTV-VHF-UH...item2305c2bccf |
