My dad is a blacksmith and he really likes stuff like that. (he has 2 hand crank drill presses, one is actually mounted and ready to use) For the longest time that was the only grinder in our shop. He has 4 of them I think. All different grade stones. I used to sharpen electrodes for the tig welder on one! It was a 2 man operation!

No doubt I was having a hard time trying to use it and crank it at the same time. I'm thinking of hooking up a motor to the hand crank.

Or you could just git married...then you could run it off'n wife power, AND you'd have a spare crank.

I learned to use a grinder with one almost exactly like that. You get where you you learn the importance of control pretty quickly when using one hand.

I have used those before, they work very good. Its really easy to keep going unless you have shoulder problems.

Maybe I'm just a wuss....but it looks like to much trouble for me...Give me a bench grinder that is 110v!
