Well, I have been dreaming of the day that I can have a nice place to store my vehicles and be able to not work off of a dirt driveway. I got my permit to start work on my 30x48x12 pole barn, it will have 3 12x10 rollup doors and later a 4 post lift. I got a couple loads of dirt , because originally I was going to build a 30x30 a couple years ago. Got most of my lumber, waiting on trusses. Project will most likely take me 3 months or so, because of my work schedule, but I am happier than a pig in poo to get this project started.
![]() ![]() ![]() Got the dirt in ![]() Knocked it down a little and measured where to drill the holes for the posts. Will be drilling them later on this week after it drys up a bit.

A little update on my project. It is a little slow going, but I do have some progress. I am only getting to work on it one day a week and can't ever seem to find any helpers that are free for the day. Here are some shots.

Now that you've got some material in the air I'd seriously consider getting some structure to the sides ASAP. At a minimum put some diagonal metal strapping between 1st and 2nd posts on each corner.
As it is, if you get a good stiff wind you're gonna be snapping posts. |

Are you just of Hwy 104? If so, I think I saw your place this past weekend! If not, then do you have any updates?
