Default Can't remove drawers from old Mac Box

I picked up this old Mac Box and want to clean it up and referb it.

The box even came with the little tools for removing the drawers. I slid the tools along the rails for the top box, and the drawers popped right out.

But if I use them on the bottom, nothing. I can slid them all the way in, and the drawers are still hitting stops somewhere.

I made some longer tools from ground-down hacksaw blades. I can slid them all the way in, but it still has no affect.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Pull the drawer all the way out, then push it in a little bit before inserting the tool, then insert the tool and push that one slide back on the slide until it is past the catch. then repeat with the others. Then slide the drawer off of the tracks. I have an old mac box and find that the tool don't work if the drawer is fully extended.

Hope this helps,
Chris

Try removing the slides from the case and taking out the whole thing. Some older boxes have a hook on the back end of the drawer and the slides have to be removed with the tool inserted from the backside.
