I am looking for old nostalgic hot rod pictures, salt flat pictures, races, etc. I am having trouble finding some on the web. Anyone know of any websites that sell these kind of pictures?

Thanks! I want to find some pictures like the ones you pointed me to, but I want to buy them to post in the garage. I can print them out but the prints would be too small for the garage. I'm talking 11 X 20 or so. I love the old nostalgic look, feel and style. Keep the links coming. I will have to investigate more into those sites you suggested to see if I can find anyone that sells prints.

11x20 is a pretty good sized print. The issue is you won't really find any scans on the web quality enough to go that size. Also if someone took some of the original shots (even if they were say 8x10 originals) having them professional scanned and enlarged to 11x20 wouldn't turn out so hot. To really get quality/useable 11x20 prints you'll need to find original negatives or someone who has the original negatives. Might I suggest you also look for old issues of Hot Rod and such. |

I could always post some of my stuff up. However most of my rod pics are from carshows/etc and not my professional "posed" type shots. |

Well I might not need them 11 X 20 but at least 8 X 10. I went to the hot rod museum in Pomona and bought a nice print. They have all kinds up on the wall but only a couple you can buy
I will continue to look at swap meets and such but haven't been able to find any so far. I can photoshop pretty well so if I needed to touch it up I could.

Look up David Perry studios. He has some cool shots of all kinds of stuff like that.

I've got a bunch of snapshots of my wife's dad and uncle on El Mirage in the late 40's. They're all small but they're really cool.
![]() There are a couple more in this thread I posted a while back when Garage Junkies became Garage Journal.
