Biggest funnel is in the waste oil pail and the rest stuck in that one.

Get some "clean funnels" the ones with a cap on each end. Then you can store them anywhere you want to. Not only do they not drip oil everywhere but the funnel is clean on the inside as well.

Yeah, I normally leave them in the oil pan, or I will wipe them out and put them in the handle on my toolbox. Not the greatest method though.

They make holders for them that the oil drip into a canister.
Here is a quick search.

I store my "go to" funnel in a plastic Folgers can... keeps it clean so it's ready to use. I shove all of my longer ones into each other & shove a rag in the highest one, they get hung on a peg.

I was in the garage the other day looking for a certain funnel & realised that I seem to have misplaced at least 5 or 6 of them. No idea where the hell they are

I wipe mine down after use. I bought "The Set" multiple sizes that fit inside each other so I just nest them and store them upside down on a shelf.

different funnels for different purposes. There is a big one stored in the waste oil secondary containment bin, there is few clean ones in the lubricant cabinet, protected from dirt, then there are others, on the shelf in a bin, waiting for use. The more funnels the better.

I always had the same problem, when I did find them, they where all full of dirt and such. I have mine on the shelf, and they are all together there, so I don't have to search for them. Upside down on the shelf keeps them cleaner.

I probably haven't used a real funnel for 20 years, but recently I bought a car with an automatic transmission so I had to go out and get one so I could add transmission fluid. The closest thing I've had in the meantime was an old quart oil bottle with the bottom cut off.

Best idea I've seen yet is below. Not mine, from a member on GJ. I saved the pics to build one, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Seems ingenious to me.

I hardly ever use funnels, but I want to build one of these asap. I might do something a little different with the bottom, maybe something that attaches to the wall like on the top.

It needs a provision to cover the tops of the funnels to keep dirt out. But it would work good to drain the last few drops out of the plastic quart oil bottles.

I use one of these ... Hinged lid makes it easy to store the funnels in there without them getting dirty, and some old rags on bottom soak up any oil.

Good lord. Just wipe them down, and put them away. With the variety of fluids I use my funnels for, I need them cleaned out. And I don't want to do it when I need it most.

While that apparatus is neat for the excess fluids, all it's doing is taking up space, and creating another item that I can knock over and spill everywhere.

Just clean them, and put'em up.
