Default Speedaire compressor- Any good?

On my air compressor hunt on CL locally. Saw 2 Speedaire 60 gal, looks like single cylinder, 220v units in great condition. Who makes Speedaire units? Seen them for years, but my hunch is it is another CH rebadger.. All help is appreciated!

Indeed they are:

Quote:
Speedaire is, and has been for decades, a house brand for Grainger, and they offer a variety of products under that brand, including Speedaire Air Compressors.

No, Grainger doesn't make them. They have several manufacturers making Speedaire compressors, depending on the model. Some lower end and lower priced units are probably made in China, but for the majority of Speedaire units, they are of domestic production. Certainly the two-stage industrial units are North American made.

All this means is that you normally won't be able to contact the manufacturer of the Speedaire brand compressors directly. Rather, you'll need to contact Grainger directly for help in getting parts to repair your Speedaire compressor.

Not rebadged CH units. I believe only Husky's are rebaged CH units.

Most Speedaires are made by Campbell Hausfeld. Parts and service are not a problem, Campbell is a very friendly company.
