Default Any vintage Coke machine collectors here?

I scored this old chest-style Coke machine at an auction today. I've looked around online for a bit and can't find any info on it. Any help as to age and model# would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is it an actual machine, or just a cooler?

I'm not sure. It's pretty big to be just a cooler, but there's no coin slot or anything.

I'll get some pics of the inside tomorrow. There's nothing in it except what looks like part of the cooling system.

look for a data plate somewhere, I know a bit about machines but not coolers.
vendo and cavalier were two of the larger manufactures.
does it work? if not you are look at some money to fix. find a coke buff to fix it. regular refrigeration guys will try to rape you.
try a website like sodajerkworks? (not sure)

As a kid I saw those type of coke machines most often in small mom and pop grocery stores and gas stations . They didn't have a coin slot because you'd pick up a coke bottle and pay the clerk.

This one is Canadian made, by Kelvinator. Not much info on the data plate at all. I don't know if I'll keep it to make a luggage trailer for my hotrod or sell it to a collector. The main body of it is in really decent condition. The compressor stuff is there but no motor, and it's missing the cover plate for the back. I've found tons of pics online of Coke coolers that are similar, but none have the chrome trim. Here's a few more pics...

Either a trailer for the truck, or a tool box in the bed! Would be very cool.

As a collectible, it's not worth much.

i disagree, these are highly collectable. my father has one similar to this to this but has a single door. look on the interior walls for screw holes. the chest style machines had a rack and changer inside the cooling area. I would google coca-cola forums to get a better idea. there are even guys out there that retro fit newer energy efficent parts for these.

I didn't say it wasn't collectible, I said it wasn't worth much. If you like, I can look up the value in one of my Coke machine guides.

I can't tell you what it is worth but here in my home town they have a coca cola festival every year where collectors from all over come to buy and sell those kinds of things. i have only lived here a couple years so I have never been to one but tons of people show up for it.

If you could find an approximate value and age on the beast, I'd be grateful!

I may end up doing that if I keep it. I'd put it on castors like hguerrero suggested if I do.

I haven't decided if I'll keep it or not yet. If it goes you can have first refusal. Shipping might be costly...this thing is fairly heavy!

cool... shoot me a PM if you decide to sell it... I'm actually not terribly far away from you.. well, I don't think I am... and may be making a road trip down the ALCAN next spring.. Even if I don't buy it, I'd like to take a look at that truck of yours... it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.... lol
