Default New Build! 24x26 CMB Aero Shop!

Hey,

Browsing through this forum I found out some really nice ideas and well we started building a new garage so I though I could share the build with y'all....
So if you got any suggestions or comments I'll be happy to hear them!

Before starting we had to relocate the main electricity feed because it was in the way of the new garage...

So we had a new pole installed;

After that we cutted down some tree to clear the new path of the electrical wire.

Then came the guy to dig the slab footing hole!

The delivery guy came on a Saturday morning to deliver some woods for the footing!

The footings were built by the contractor and myself, then we placed the insulation foam and finished the day with the rebar!

I marked the footings every 16" to locate the vertical rebar position for when they pour the cement!

AND THat's it for now...we are waiting for nice weather to get the cement poured but it's always raining!!! Can't wait to be working inside!

Also, since I'm kinda new here, for those wondering what type of stuff I work on... here's my latest project;
I got that old 1996 Sea Doo for cheap and decided to give it a new life.... I rebuilted the sea doo and had it entirely repainted!

BEFORE

AFTER

My next project when we finish the garage is building an RV-9 Plane since I'm a pilot and I am studying to be an A&P Mechanic!

GREAT first post! You're gonna do fine here. Nice work on the garage. Loved the Sea, I'd go for some orange/red/white flames on that bad boy.

Water craft, airplane, cars... Hmmm, you might need a train to round things out! haha

After a day of work on the trusses...

Next day, finish getting the roof trusses up and started on the roof sheating...

Added the little front roof on top of the garage door...

Built the stairs for the 2nd floor...

The future 2nd floor room... will mostly be for storage and a little gym!

Aaight, im done for now... more pics will be up today! Roof shingles and work on the 2nd floor room!

Nice progress, its coming out great. I like the little roof over the doors. You'll have a nice area on the second floor for your gym.

Great looking garage and looking forward to more pics

I have one question on the weatherhead for the house....shouldn't that be through the roof eave? I know that when I moved mine a few years back, code dictated that it had to be in pipe and through the eave.

Yeah, plein de monde du Québec.

I suppose the pictures were not taken yesterday

You don't have to answer but if you want, can you tell me how much your slab ended up costing? I would like to know if i had a good price for mine, considering it wasn't as well made as yours.

Thanks everyone for the comments! I will be posting more pictures soon!

To answer some of your questions;

->Kevin54; I don't think the code here in Canada ask for the weatherhead to go through the roof eave because I rarely see them that way... Besides the house is almost new and the inspector found nothing wrong when we bought it so it's legal! Also we got the wire transferred to the new post by qualified electrician and they never mentioned something wrong about this setup...

->pumalex; Yep you guessed right, the picture were taken from october to late november... I am still sorting out all the pictures I took that's why I didn't upload them all at once. I will be posting more pictures soon but I am still working on the garage so it's far from finished yet.
As for the price of the slab, I don't mind helping you out, but do you want the cost with the material required to build the slab footing or just the price of the cement and the labour!?

well i hired someone to make the job so he made me a price for everything included, if you didn't do it that way i guess we can't really compare. I didn't even lift a shovel for the slab so everything was included.

Very nice garage by the way
