Atomic Shop Update

Well this has taken longer than expected… We started the shop  in the middle of November and I figured it would be wrapped up by Christmas, but the contractor I hired to erect the metal building proved to be less than competent in a lot of areas. Thankfully, however, he was an honest guy and things have worked out ok. In any case, the schedule has gone out the window.

Things happen for a reason though… If we hadn’t been so behind on the schedule, the floors of the new space would have been sealed by now and I would have been really hesitant to cut into them for a new flush mount lift that will be available from BendPak soon. But, my floors are still raw and we started cutting early this week. Im typically not too scared of concrete work, but in this instance I wasn’t about to wager  my floors on my meager skill set. I called in a pro…

Here’s where we are right now:

So, basically here’s my task list:

1. Wait for the new concrete to cure a week or so and then seal with a product I picked up from Legacy Industrial.

2. Frame the joint.

3. Run Electricity.

4. Sheetrock.

5. Install compressor and run air lines.

6. Install lift.

7. Party.
