I know I have a big tall hole in the front of my garage and it would look awsum. It looks like it is a well designed and balanced door.
Maybe the windows are Swarski crystals?

It's nice. I'd rather a horizontal bifold found on aircraft hangars. That one, the pivot seems pushed low to allow the door to counterbalance itself, reducing the effective entry height of the door.

That is industrial art masquerading as a door and very high on the cool factor but its so outside my league its hard to even imagine something like that.

I thought I was going upscale when I got an insulated garage roll up that didnt jam all the time!

I guess this is the stuff you buy when you have so much cash that you don't know what to do with it.

I saw one made of (I assume) false logs and operated by hyd. to open and close. It was on a hangar in the basement of a log cabin. It was just hinged at the top though.

All I know is that my first house was $11K less than that garage door, and pedestrians couldn't see any of my tools, but my garage door certainly wasn't anywhere near as cool!

We have a horizontal bifold on our firehall. When I give the Kindergarten class thier annual tour, it seems that thier highlight comes at the end when they are leaving. They all stop as they leave, holding hands with thier buddy, to watch the door close.

The door fulfills our hopes and dreams to have that much disposable income...
...either that or starve, 3 mortgages, and frack all the bills...one has to set there priorities!
Life without a garage and door like that, just isn't worth living!!!! LOL!

a local restaurant in town has a similarly designed window (about a 1/3 the size) that is manually operated and opens up on sunny days. It's pretty cool. that window pivots on a 4 inch diameter black metal pipe (?cast iron?) that is bolted to the window frame from the inside.

It brings new meaning tom"sleeping with the windows open" especially when you wake up with a moose in your living room. (Are there moose in Idaho?)


Sure ***** when the rain comes up fast and you left your "window" open.

All that being said it's still pretty cool.

Yep. It's cool for the aesthetics. It does look nice

Wonder about pros and cons with vertical vs horizontal fold.

Clear width probably. The door has to go somewhere when open. Might as well be up not out.

Hmm, that looks like Coeur d'Alene, Idaho area. Probably Coeur d'Alene Lake. The link says Northern Idaho, and that area is known for rich people so my guess would be Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. that's a really nice area though, the snow can get a bit deep in the winter.

I wondered why the centrifugal governor was mounted on the wall, then I turned up my volume.

The warning bell was optional, and at that point the whole door was at $74,899.
"So, yeah, ok, throw in the warning bell and I'm just under budget"

Wow. When I hit the lottery, this is the 12th thing I'm gonna buy.
