What's the secret? I don't know but I wish I did. They never return any of my e-mails.

Jonco Industries is apparently the supplier of Snap-on's PVC drawer liners -- the best drawer liners on the face of the earth. I wish I could buy it in bulk on a roll instead of (8) pre-cut sheets for $127.80

Does not look like they make any thing like that from what I can see on their web page. I can believe that they may cut the stuff to size for snap-on, but I don't see any production of that type of stuff at their site. I would bet that the stuff comes on huge rolls and is cut to size by a 3rd party like these guys, but the stuff probably comes from some finished sheet goods supplier.

William.....

BTW they have a toll free number why don't you just call them??

I bought the HD rubber liners from Snap on, they help, but do not eliminate the tools from bunching up. The worst drawer is my punch and chisel drawer, but most of the problem comes from the punches and chisels wanting to walk out of the pouches.

They are still many times better than the foam, at least the rubber ones don't move and bunch up.

Snap on said that they were going to produce a magnetized rubber sheet, but I have been told it never made it into production.

I'm wondering why these people don't make their product available in rolls to the general public rather than be an exclusive supplier to Snap-on.

My motivation for starting this thread is not self serving -- I don't need drawer liners for myself at this time. However, I would love to recommend a great drawer liner material to my garage buddies whenever somebody inquires about them, but I always have to keep quiet because I know there's no sense in recommending a set of pre-cut drawer liners for somebody who doesn't own a Snap-on box........

After fighting with drawer liners for too long I started using rubber backed carpet 10yrs ago.Never looked at liners again. The rubber back holds the carpet in place in the drawer and the carpet fibre keeps the tools from sliding around as much.Best part is getting leftover ends at a flooring store is cheap.I did my whole box for about $30.

they do search ebay real hard and you might find some. they also make the keys and the toolbox covers.
no secret here.

I don't think you understand what I'm after. I'm asking for confirmation that Jonco makes the material -- and if they do, is it available on a roll?

it appears that they are a packaging company, not a mfr. i'm guessing they buy the material in bulk then cut and package them for snap on.

Not sure on the roll part. They used to send the kra style foam on a big roll, but everything else was cut to fit already. sorry

If Jonco is in fact the producer of that material and not just the slicer and dicer -- they could stand to make a mint if they were to market their product outside of Snap-on. It would be a shame if Jonco was bound by contract to be an exclusive supplier to Snap-on and nobody else. That material is the absolute finest.

^^^^^^Agreed

mrshaun - Can you order individual drawer liners for you customers? (say, if your customer damaged one) The online SO catalog only shows the whole set to fit up a entire box.

Yup no extra KRL mats here. But i have 20 sets for kra5311 boxes. US ARMY bought 40 boxes and threw away the drawer liners. Needless to say I was hanging out of the dumpster for a while. My truck was packed to the ceiling with packs af drawer liners.
they had laser cut foam put in them.

All of my customers have new drawer liners in their boxes. I gave them out at every shop and kept about 20 packs of it. kra stuff is a lot cheaper about 50 bucks a pack for the box

Well I tried that one, but he dose not seem to get it....
After looking around a bunch more I'm all most 100% sure that they do NOT make the materal. They may purchase it, or maybe Snap-On provides it to them from the plastic manufacture.

Have you had an oportunity to compare it side by side to a snap-on liner to see if it is the same material?

I bought that stuff, it is OK but no where near the SO KRL premium non-slip. It is tough and good, but there is no comparison...

I researched these guys a while ago -- perhaps in response to a link posted here -- but I don't remember -- anyway, I got the impression that they are a "fulfillment" center. They warehouse the product, and in some cases "assemble" or as you point out, cut it.

This was just my impression at the time.

This out-sourcing of distribution can make sense for some companies.

I called the people early yesterday morning. The guy said he'd find out and call me back -- of course he never did.

Whoever is actually making that material is seriously missing the boat -- they could be making a killing if they just made the stuff more available.

I dont know if you are familiar with the high end Matco liners, but they are STICKY and hold stuff in place like there is no tomorrow. I had a high end snap on a while back and it seemed that it was the same stuff but I think ours was a little thicker.

PT # NSDL-9500, 31 inches deep and it comes in a 30ft roll. $189.00

How about looking at a company called Vantage Industries.
They make a product called Scoot Guard, and it looks very similar.
I used to buy it in 100' rolls, and sell it to ship chandlers. The crews on the freighters would buy it.
It was about 1/4"-3/8" thick.

It looks like the same stuff SO makes those fender covers out of.

In today's world where you can research anything online it seems amazing that Snap-on can keep the manufacturer of this stuff a secret.

I made a few phone calls today myself...........

As other posts here have alledged, I also learned that VANTAGE is the mfg of the KRL Snap On drawer liner material AND JONCO takes the propriortary material and die cuts it for Snap-On. BOTH Companies are under contract with Snap-On and no one else is buying their mat direct!!!!!!

Exec I spoke with at JONCO claims to have a very good similar product he can sell to the general public. Minimum sale is $150.

I'm going to get sample and compare myself with my KRL liners.

Maybe same as what KLARS saw from EBAY ???

Anyway, I'll post back when I develop more details

Just dont know what people here would buy if I sold material in bulk..........or paid to have it cut to what width rolls ????????

Thanks
